Hi all, seeking advice. My son has decided to apply to three schools during early action. Those applications are pretty much finished. He’s going to move on and apply to a handful of other schools during the regular decision period. Question - is there any advantage to his applying this month for consideration during regular decision? I used to assume there was an advantage to early submission of applications but after reading the recent NYT article about Trinity College admissions, I think I was wrong. Thanks in advance for any insight.
My D applied to all her schools when the common app opened and was totally done with all of them by early October. She just wanted them off her plate. I don’t think it gave her any advantage other than psychologically being finished.
Nope. Just have to get it in by the deadline BUT… If it’s a small lac then maybe. They will notice who is applying real early… If they normally have seats to fill then or could.
If senior grades are on an upswing, sending the latest possible might help.
