Any advice for an incoming transfer student

Hi, This fall I'm transferring to Pitt as a junior and will be majoring in Accounting. I'm tranfering after spending two years at CCAC. I'm kind of nervous and excited about this situation. I won't be living on campus and I've never been a very social person so I'm wondering how I will fit in. Does anyone have any advice on making a smooth transition to Pitt?

Don’t worry because mostly everybody at Pitt is friendly. I don’t know about accounting in particular, but in most majors, you will continue to meet new people throughout your college years. Maybe make an effort to join a club or professional organization related to accounting or some hobby you like. Good luck!

I live pretty close to ccac and I know a bunch of kids who transfered to Pitt. None of them had any complaints. Just make sure you join clubs because that’s the easiest way to make friends.
