Help, need advice on if I should transfer

Hey, so first things first, I'm a sophomore Accounting major at my current university which I do not like at all. I've been thinking about transferring because being at this school has made me pretty depressed on top of some other things going on in my life. I'm currently a commuter and feel like I've been deprived of the "the college experience." My life is pretty boring, I got to class, come home, do work, and I also have a part time job but nothing like high school when I always had friends to talk to or hang out with. I do have friends when I'm on campus but the depression hits when I'm alone at home. The school is a commuter school so the campus is pretty boring and the location is not the safest. Anyways, I recently found out that my top choice transfer school won't accept at least 4 classes/12 credits for sure on top of already being behind on credits and also having to complete 150 credits to be eligible for CPA. I'm not sure if I should risk transferring there and having to retake those classes plus pay more tuition payments for any extra semesters or if I should just deal with my current school. Also, the transfer choice is a big state university so I'm scared it'll be hard to fit in as a transfer as people will have already made their groups. Any advice would be helpful, thanks in advance!

are you very set on majoring in accounting?

Yeah I’m pretty set on it

If you’re that miserable- and have made every attempt to be happy where you’re at, including joining clubs/talking to people- then go ahead and transfer. If you can’t handle the extra money it’ll cost, it’s not worth it though.
