Hey everyone!

I've heard from many people that junior year is a crucial part of one's high school career and I didn't see any of these threads on the forum, so I was wondering if anyone had any words to share? Thank you!!

I’m a rising senior. It was junior year I finally decided to take challenging courses, I did not understand the gravity class rigor played when applying to colleges.

Nonetheless, study for the ACT or SAT. Try to take both if you can to see which one you are better at. Focus on your grades, it’s mostly the summer before senior year you need to start working on college stuff. Try to deeper delve into the subjects that interest you.

I’m also a rising senior. Junior year was the first year my school allowed us to take AP classes, so you could say I bit off more than I could chew last year. Remember that class rigor is definitely important, but remember to maintain a balance in your life! I really struggled to juggle my ECs and schoolwork, and ended up having a very bad experience.
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t take challenging classes, but know your limits!
Remember to study for the ACT/SAT, and figure out which you’re better at. Take classes if you’re able to.
Good luck!
