Any advice on retaking?

<p>Hey, i took the January SAT for the first time and got 2180.</p>

<p>CR 730
MA 790
WR 660 (essay 8) ;(</p>

<p>Yeah, my writing pulled me down. I'm planning to retake it, but when should I retake? May or September? I'm taking SAT2 in June so those two are my only choices. I'm guessing I'll be busy with APs in May, but I'll be loaded with college apps and school works in September. What do you think?</p>

<p>Also, how should I prepare? I think I don't have to work on my CR anymore, but should i keep on working on it just to make sure it doesn't drop on my next one? And what is the best review book for writing multiple choice? Advice please.</p>

<p>Yes, I would retake. Bring the writing score up. I would do your APs in May, work on your app essays over the summer, and retake the SAT in September.</p>

<p>Don't totally neglect the other sections, though, or those scores will go down.</p>
