Any advice? Words of wisdom?

Hey guys, new to CC. Im applying to JHU ED (done with common app and everything, just waiting until all of application materials are ready) and i have a few questions.
My stats are -
1.Middle Eastern
2. 3.0 UW cummulative
3. varsity lax for 3 years
4.TONS of community service at hospital, something I’ve included a bunch in my Common App and JHU essay
5. 32 ACT

Anyways, my questions are-

1.Can I also send in a letters of recommendation from my dean, my coach (who is also a judge so it’ll look pretty good), and my coworker?
2.Im planning on recording a video of myself explaining my interest in JHU and their neuroscience program, how will that fare with my app?
3.What are my chances?

Im really praying that I get into JHU, because I LOVE JHU. but then again, God is absent in college admissions lol
Please let me know what you guys think thankkkkkssss

  1. Yes, but I would stick to two (You already will have two teacher recs, so maybe not the dean?).
  2. I wouldn't. You're already submitting extra materials, and I believe that Hopkins has an essay prompt that allows you to express your interest in JHU and your major.
  3. I couldn't say. Assuming that you're planning to play lacrosse in college, your athlete status might help you out some, but a 3.0 GPA is the minimum considered for many of the more selective schools, and Hopkins might have a higher standard for its students, since it's so academically rigorous. That would be the main thing holding you back, I think.
