Life is an ever changing continuum. Whats hard now may likely be easy later. And whats easy now may be harder later. Even the “bad stuff” teaches us and makes us smarter and more resilient.

  1. Never buy sushi at a gas station mini mart.

  2. “Cheap” toilet paper comes at a non financial cost.

  3. Always make sure when giving a valet your car keys that the establishment actually has a valet service.

  4. Animals don’t smile for selfies they are bearing their teeth.

  5. People’s “irrational” fear of clowns is entirely justified.

  6. Rescue is the best dog breed (although they are all great)!

The best advice my dad gave me was the Golden Rule. 2nd was the mirror test…being able to look in the mirror and like what you see.

Don’t ever lend money to family or friends.

If anybody tells you to do something in order to be cool - don’t do it! Most things that kids in high school think are cool are things that they regret when they are older.

There is no such thing as Privacy on the internet - if you’ve posted it, or even sent it to a friend via text, you no longer have any control over who will see it.

Try to take time for yourself. Turn off your social media, take a walk, find somewhere to be alone with yourself.

Learn how to cook.

Learn how to do basic repairs around the house.

If something sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

Protect your feet, your back, and your hearing.
