admin reps will be in area, and son signed up for an interview. very excited as we can not visit until later. any words of advice for these interviews? looks like they are scheduled for about 30 minutes. he has some questions but what should he expect from interviewer

Son is a sophomore at UR, but never interviewed. We did attend an information session/tour on campus. Here is UR’s interview page:
[University of Rochester : Visit Campus : Interviews](http://enrollment.rochester.edu/admissions/visit/interviews.shtm)

As with any college’s interview, he should dress appropriately (khakis, shirt or sweater), be himself, show he’s done his homework (i.e., visited the college’s website, knows something about the school and why it might be a good fit for him, etc.), show passion for his ECs, etc.

thanks!!!

My son interviewed and he was accepted with merit scholarship. I can’t help but think the interview helped. When we got to the accepted student day, they said to look around at the other students and to know that what they were looking for in the applications and interviews were atypical, non-conformist type students.

Very relaxing. I recently did an interview. Just ask questions, and be relaxed. Don’t be typical and show who you are.
