i just want to know how my stats compare to those from Brown applicants already accepted. thank you!

4.28 gpa (prestigious school, doesn't rank)
710/720 SAT's
founder of badminton club, submitted serious piano & art portfolios, some community service things, generally modest stuff like that
excellent, personal recs
excellent essays (this is why i got in over people in my class with higher numbers)

make sure you pick something truly unique and quirky about yourself, and play it up in your application -- brown places a much greater emphasis on that than on, say, SAT's

wow, maybe the serious piano and art portfolios realllyl really reallyl helped a lot. plus the essays. Wow im really impressed. i have a short list of Ecs but one of them im really deep into. i also really like art but i am trying to show my passion, but how?

i am really interested in brown. what type of topics for essays can be "unique and quirky" any examples?

thanks!

There's a whole thread about this (early decision results thread). You can go check that out.

where is it ? i can't find it

thanks ilovebrown!

looking at stats from accepted kids really won't help you determine what your chances are. I saw kids who looked less qualified get in, and ones who looked more qualified not get in. Also, as someone said, the things that are really going to tip the scales in your favor cannot be adequately displayed on a CC thread.
