<p>Alright, so my partner and I have to write an essay on the following topic:
Explain the Republican administrations policies of isolationism, disarmament, and high-tariff protectionism.
This prompt is for the time period of 1920-1932. However, my teacher wants us to contrast the traditional ideas of previous presidents such as McKinley, Roosevelt, Taft and Wilson to the modern ideas of the new presidents-- Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. Me and my partner split the topics and I have agreed to write a paragraph or two on isolationism and high-tariff protectionism. I would appreciate it if someone could give me a list of facts I could incorporate in my essay or even write a few paragraphs so I get an idea. Also, keep in mind that this is an AP essay so it has to be pretty-well polished. Thanks guys!</p>
