<p>My son and I would like to hear more about the Huxford Symphony Orchestra at U of Alabama Tuscaloosa. Anybody out there involved with this ensemble that can tell us more about it?</p>
<p>My son would be majoring in engineering, but if he attends Bama, he would like to play in the Huxford Orchestra as a non-major. He's a string player.</p>
<p>Can you tell us anything about the orchestra, in general? And can you tell us anything about the experience for non-majors? Specifically for engineering majors, if I can possibly be so choosy!</p>
<p>But really, anything you can tell us would be great. The difficulty of the music, the level of the playing (we've heard they're very good), the ease of scheduling with other majors, etc.</p>
