What courses did you take your freshman year? Is it true that freshmen usually take only one science course their first year such as Intro to Biol as opposed to taking Chemistry or another science as well? Were your other classes just the courses used to satisfy the Core Curriculum or basic requirements for graduation? I'm asking because I am only scheduled to take an Intro Biol class during the first semester and I thought that Biol. majors would be required to take more.

Don't worry, you'll be taking more in-depth bio courses later on. First you must get the intro to bio I and II out of the way. And its good that you are fulfilling some of your requirements. I mean, you'd have to take them sooner or later. Typically, most people spend the first 2 years fulfilling core curriculum, and they have the last 2 years to take more classes in their major, as well as electives. ; )
