I just took my first sat in june 6 and got 2060 (640 CR, 780M, 640W) IM not really happy with my score and i will retake the SAT in October to raise the score to at least 2200. Do you know any good sat book other than blue book because i’d done it already. Thks for your help!!!
You can raise your writing score tremendously with Erica Meltzer’s SAT grammar guide. I went up 150+ points when I used it. It’s very simple and straightforward. Also, use the SAT blue book (made by the College Board) and take the practice tests. I heard Barron’s math is pretty good as well but I have not used it.
For reading: Study vocab.
Direct Hits Core and Toughest Vocab are 2 great books.
Erica Meltzer’s the Critical Reader is a terrific book.
Also, (might be a bit expensive), but the SAT online course is very good, 10 practice tests. Buy it on amazon rather than from the college board.
@student9988 is right. Erica Meltzer’s writing book is very helpful. If you know the basic gramar rules, you can at least get a 700 on writing.
@student9988 @rdeng2614 are correct.
Using Erica Meltzer’s SAT grammar guide and the Direct Hits books I was able to go from 2250 to 2370. If you need any help on studying you can PM me for help. Good luck!
