There's so many threads on science and math competitions, but I never see anythign on business, and few on writing (like the JFK writing competition). Is there any real big business competition you know about? Like simulation of mock events/scenerios, or even scantrons on business topics? Oh, and don't say FBLA hahaha, because my FBLA advisor hates me and won't let me compete in the club :)

DECA? Not sure what kinds of competitions they have.

deca's very big at my school!

you should look into summer h.s. programs at berkeley/columbia/wharton. i regret i didn't focus too much on that in high school. from what friends have told me, they can be a lot of fun.

Oh, no worries about that. I got accepted into LEAD in April so that will take up my summer. Just reffering to pure competitions :)

bumppp.
anyone know of any relevant business/economics/finance competitions

DECA, BPA, FBLA, FED Challenge

it’s difficult to be a high schooler interested in business and not know about deca/fbla…

Why does the FBLA advisor hate you? If you really want a “pure business competition”, FBLA offers just that. Swallow your pride and make amends with your advisor; depending on your location, most regional FBLA conferences are fairly reasonable and a good share of common sense can easily help you win.
