i am a very average student.
i have a 3.5 unweighted and about 4.2 weighted gpa
my SATs sucked, i did not even reach a 2000
i only did sport for one year and i have a good number of community service hours.

at first i thought maybe i had a tiny chance if i were to apply early decision, but now seeing the other posts make me wonder if i am wasting my money applying to northwestern.
should i just forget about private schools and stick to applying to the UCs?

i am in the same position with good everything else, but a 3.65 weighted GPA (heh). But you won't know unless you try, right?

I'd say don't waste the money. that sounds harsh, but if you don't even believe in yourself enough to believe you're more than average, theres no way the adcom will.

3.5 unweighted, honestly, is a littttle too low for Northwestern. <2000 is not really going to help you either. Do you have any hooks?

The admissions process is always a little bit of a crap shoot, but from what you say, your chances would appear to be marginal (not nil, marginal).
If NU is absolutely, positively where you want to be, then you might take your shot at ED, but I think it's a long shot.

yes, i met Oprah and I went with her to Africa to build schools, I am also researching for the cure for cancer and aids...

I WISH =.=
