yeah you do you have strong scores and good ec's

I would not worry about increasing your scores so muchas I would the other parts of your application.

Your time would be better served organinzing an application where your EC's don't simply look like a laundry list of stuff but a listing that says something about your, what you are passionate about and how you spend your time (in the end it is about quality not quantity). Most of what you list as ec's are mostly academics. what do you do out side of the classroom? what do you do for fun? What do you do that is of service to others?

The ivies are not going to be at a loss of smart kids applying, but they are going to want to build a class that that realizes that learning takes place both inside and out side of the classroom and is representative of the institutional mission they are trying to fulfil.

I would work on my essays and short answers to show who you are as a person not simply as a student

I would be working on my prospective interviews, thinking up interesting questions (not jsut stuff that can be found by looking through the web pages)

Well dancing is my for fun thing, so is latin. It's wonderful!

hi imacarzyscientist,

I am going to attach 2 threads which I hope can help you. ONe is a discussion on the paent's thread about the who AI thing used as selecctive colleges in the admissions process.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=102808&page=3

the other is an article- the recipie for success, about how the admission committee at Williams tires to balance the scores of priorities from the campus community. (they admit that the process is not purely based on numbers). Their process is really no different than that of their peer as elite colleges who are trying to craft a community of learners.

maybe the dancing could be the basis of one of your essays.

good luck and all the best.
