Any chance of Amherst going blind to Internationals?

<p>I’ve just heard from anonymous source that Amherst might be going need-blind to international applicants in a year or so. Do you think it’s going to happen, and if so, when would it be?</p>

<p>Actually, I was once planning on resting school for a year, for various reasons, and than put the plan aside. But if more and more LAC’s are planning to go need-blind for internationals in few years, I think I would even try to postpone graduation.</p>

<p>President Marx has been trying to get this instituted for a couple years now, but it hasn't happened yet. No telling when. Perhaps in a year or so.</p>

<p>If it happens, do you think that international apps that already got in without aid will also benefit?</p>

<p>And will it happen unnoticed, or will they announce it a few years before?</p>
