Any chance of getting into GT?

I am currently a Junior at a decently competitive high school instate.

I have had straight a A's since beginning of Junior year, and have showed a huge improvement since freshman and junior year. Also, I have taken 3 AP's in total so far and got 4's and 3's on them.

My stats are:
GPA uw: 3.34
GPA w: 3.5

SAT: 2110
Math: 750
Reading: 720
Writing: 640

I am multicultural (white and Asian), if that might also help diversity wise.

EC's:
Will be a 4 year varsity athlete
3 years varsity lacrosse/1 year of JV lacrosse
2 years varisty football/1 year of JV football
1 year of varsity wrestling/2 years of JV wrestling
Hoping to make the All-American Lacrosse team Senior year

Started a computer and video gaming club at my school

I have talked to the Lacrosse coach for GT and he is interested in having me at GT (will that help?)

Please tell me if I have any chance at getting into GT and any other colleges that I can make it into. Thanks so much!

Scores look good, but your GPA really is holding you back (and GPA has the highest weight on the GT admissions process). Your chances look iffy, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if you get in based on the strength of your scores and ECs. You can get get that GPA up a little (to around 3.6), you’ll be in good shape.

No, it’s a club. Ken has no pull with the Admissions office.

Not really. I’m sure you know that Males, Whites, and Asians tend to be well represented in engineering schools. Blacks, Hispanics, Females, and Native Americans tend to be underrepresented.

Thanks for the reply, I’m hoping to get straight A’s for the rest of my high school years. If I can, hopefully I’ll make it in.
