any chance with this combo at brown?

I know that applied math with econ is your best bet at brown, but what about history/econ?

Thanks

dude, all you have to prove is that you are smart. you could do that with any combination of majors. none of the stuff you learn in either math, econ or history is applicable to banking, so don’t worry. try to take a course in accounting and a course in corp finance and you will be fine.

thanks drizzl. and i am hoping (have researched that) the Brown name is good enough for some interviews. I am also looking at Dartmouth though.

You’re in high school? Don’t worry about majors or banking yet, just get into college first.

Brown should have investment banks come to campus for recruiting and there should be students reguarly hired for front office positions at these places in IBD. Brown doesn’t have as strong of a presence on Wall Street as Dartmouth, but it still puts you in a position to get a good finance job if you play your cards right during your undergrad.
