Any Chance?

I'm an out of state student, and Florida is one of my top choices.

Weighted GPA (as calculated by UF): 3.4
ACT: 34

My extracurriculars are slightly above average, I applied for Summer B.

I wish my GPA was higher, I was just wondering if I can make up for it in other areas, I appreciate all feedback.

Your ACT is high enough that you'll probably be above the sliding scale for GPA. It's hard to say though, so I would say 75% chance. I do know people that even before UF dropped its class size that were rejected with 32-33ish ACT's.

50/50 I'd say. A test score won't always bring you completely along, despite how much emphasis UF puts on it. I wouldn't be extremely confident but there's a decent shot thanks to the outstanding score. I've seen much stranger things happen with UF admissions than a student with a 34 act getting denied.

UF doesn't really care about other areas enough to boost you. You're pretty much stuck with what you got and now you just gotta hope luck is on your side

I hope you get in. 80% chance

Wow, SSobick, I'm shocked. I've seen you respond harshly to applicants with higher gpa's. But to actually say something nice? lol..jk...
