Chance me. Please?
I know my test scores aren't up to par, but I'm studying my butt off over the summer to retake both the ACT, SAT, and more SAT II's in the fall.

Your gpa and ecs are strong, but you definitely need to raise your scores. Also, where your APs end up will also dictate how your gpa falls in comparison… if you end with all As but you don’t pass any of your APs, it doesn’t really make sense (not that that would happen to you, but it’s something adcoms understand about grade inflation/deflation in high schools).

welles10–thank you for chancing me. The only thing I would worry about is my grade dispute with AP US Gov that’s still pending. I’ll admit, I was a bit lazy doing the work (since it was an online class), but there’s no way I deserved a C+. Yes, there, I said it. Every student signed an agreement with the online instructor agreeing to certain terms before taking the course, but somehow she lost sight of this, and completely changed the maximum amount of points you could earn that semester…an extra 1000 points. No one in the class found out about it until the class ended. No one aced the class. I’m confident I scored a 5 on the AP test.

CMK – a contrasting grade vs. AP score will cancel out per se, at least in the eyes of the adcom at Wellesley. Wellesley gives attention to each app and looks at the whole picture; they will notice a discrepancy like that. Since the AP exam is a standardized test that is given around the world, an adcom would consider the AP score to be more indicative of your knowledge than a grade from your class, especially an online class. Also, if you are really concerned about this, depending on what score you get on the AP exam, you could speak a bit about this in the optional essay on the CommonApp.

Fyi, if you take college level courses that are given on-line, Wellesley will not give you credit for them.
