any chances?

you look good but your SATs are a little low. it's pretty competitive for out-of-staters. what have you scored on your AP tests?

youll be fine. I think you're in

How late will they accept the SAT scores? Anybody know?

curiouskatie, I scored 3,4,and 5 on the tests...mostly 4's.

BUMP
anyone?

im a umass student...SAT's are still being accepted, get them in quick though because its getting towards the meat of the admit session....

i think you have good stats and a good shot...have you applied?

i got into umass and i have relatively bad SAT scores.

what were your stats?

i have a 3.4 GPA with no honors
i got around a 1600 on the SATs
im taking AP bio and AP gov this year
i founded a community service group which has grown to be one of the biggest jewish groups in nj.
i skied with disabled people.
i went to USSA regionals for freestyle skiing and im a ski coach.

well i think your other accrediations have made up for your sat scores.. umass isnt that picky.

good luck mochalatte!

does anyone know about how long after your app is in it takes to hear back from there rolling admssion?

They're are not as efficiently organized as many other schools. They have to find your stuff first.

humm well thats nice.... i guess thats why the prinction review rated them #19 for long lines and red tape when dealin with admissions....

Your chances look good. SATs could be higher--you are out-of-state--but other things should compensate. Best wishes! :)

u r better off looking for another school. If u wanna learn,go to another school.

u could get to georgia tech or university of delaware with the scoes, and they r much better than Umass

I'm also seeking same guidance but in Engineering.

My stats is not as great as most people here:

Sat1 1800 (640M, 570V 590)
Sat2 (600 Chem, 530 Math)
Sat2 retake Jan 28th (Math, Chem, Phy). I'm expecting minimum 650 in all; but will the results be accepted for this admission decision?
GPA 3.3
International - studied in Asia, Europe, Africa and the US. Currently finishing my 2nd semester of 12th grade in Japan. I did the 1st semester in a private school in the US.
Major: Engineering
APs (3 APs this year - Chem, US His, Phy)
No spectacular ECs

Anyone there to help me on my chances for 2010?

Thanks!

I think you both have a 95+% chance at acceptance

the umass admissions office has been functioning without a director since 1999, i think. we keep offering it to people, and they keep turning it down.
