Any colleges with a major in design and a minor in music?

I know Brown and Juilliard work together to have a design and music program but are there any colleges that just do it alone

Can you point to where you found a Brown/Juilliard program in design and music? I don’t see it anywhere on Brown’s pages about the special programs and majors they offer. They do have a dual-degree program with RISD; you could major in design at RISD and in music at Brown. Columbia has two special programs with Juilliard - one that allows Columbia students to study music at Juilliard, and a joint program that allows you to earn a BA from Columbia and a master’s of music at Julliard in 5-6 years. Columbia has an excellent School of the Arts, so you could in theory major in art while taking music at Juilliard.

Anyway, at most schools that have a design major and a music minor you could theoretically do it - and most schools that have a design major will probably have a music minor. One place that comes to mind, for example, is SUNY Purchase College, which is well known for its arts programs.

However, in practice, both design majors and music minors/concentrations tend to be pretty demanding and have odd 1- or 2- credit requirements you often have to meet (like private lessons, recitals, rehearsals, clinics, whatever), so you’ll need to talk to the schools or learn very carefully how doable completing studies in both areas really is.

Full Sail has a couple of design majors, but no music minors. You can study music business there, or music production. It’s also a for-profit university with a varying reputation depending on who you ask.

What kind of design? Graphic? Product/industrial? Fashion? Interaction/experience/UX? Environmental? I think this is the first thing to narrow down, because if a “design” program doesn’t fit what you’re looking for then the rest is moot.

Also a general idea of your stats, budget, and target geographic area would help to focus the suggestions appropriately.
