Any correspondence from USC?

Has USC send out anything besides the Linen Program? Do they send out anything after you sign up for Orientation like they did after you sign up for Explore?

I keep getting paranoid that we're missing info. I wish they have some info on their website to let parents know what to expect and when.

Bmom, We've not received anything, either by mail or email since the Linen Program material. I will let everyone here know what we get tomorrow.

D received 2 letters this week:
Confirmation of credits for AP exams
Letter from the Dean of CAS welcoming her to the program and describing some of the opportunities available (learning communities, community service, etc)

^ Yes D received both those too, ...AP credits confirmation on May 8th, and welcome letter on May 28th. I guess they send these out at different times.

nope, no welcome letters after committing $300.
I'm sorry, what is CAS?

College of Arts and Sciences

since SCA degrees are granted under the School of Letters, Arts and Science, shouldn't they have sent welcoming letters to SCA students also?

Hi bmom. Is your son signed up for orientation? Because I think that is kinda what orientation is for - to make sure all our paperwork is in and get us signed up for classes and make sure we haven't missed anything. He'll let you know if he needs anything after orientation.

thanks tocollege, the only problem is our orientation isn't till Aug (international).

bmom, it's possible that SCA people haven't had any correspondence from the school. The various colleges may do things differently.
Did he send his AP scores? As long as it shows on Collegeboard that they were forwarded it should be ok. Just keep a copy of the official AP scores paper for orientation. (After all the senior AP scores aren't even in yet). Or actually IBs if your son did those in Canada.
They may do things differently for internationals too. I wouldn't be too concerned.

bmom, actually SCA is its own School (School of Cinematic Arts!) and not under SLAS. My S got a letter from his major in the SCA way a long time ago and another letter in May with some suggestions for summer stuff.

Not to worry. He's in the USC system and from what I know of good private schools, they make sure everyone is taken care of, and things can always get fixed without a lot of trouble.

thanks, I know I'm just stressing over nothing. I told you guys that they lost the reimbusement form I handed in at Explore for my son's flight cost, right? And s has emailed them and fax them all the info again and we were told that we would get the check like 2 weeks ago and it's still not here. It just makes me wonder how on top of things we need to be to make sure everything is in order.

and Sequoia, s did IB so hopefully IB main office will send in his scores. we're not in control.
