Any current emory students willing to contact me?

I wanted a more personal perspective on emory & its students.
I was wondering if there are any current students who wouldn't mind me PMing them to learn a little more about the university..
Thank you so much!

i dont mind!

i'll talk to you. i just moved in so i can give you my first impressions.

how are u liking emory so far?

i moved in a day early to avoid the rush of 1200 people moving in at the same time (i highly advise this if you can find a way). the first day was pretty relaxed; we got our orientation materials and meet with our FAME (freshman advising and mentoring at emory) groups to get to know everyone. they are usually about 18 people so it's a good way to meet people. The university hosted a big party on the field. i give them credit for trying but it was lame. they had music and food and random exhibits from karaoke to riding a mechanical bull. ha. today has been more packed with things to do. we had a session on the GERs and then were able to have meetings to discuss the pre health, pre law, and pre business aspects for those interested. everyone is extremely helpful so it has been great so far. classes don't start for a few days to this has been a good time to meet alot of new people and just explore the campus. i think i speak for most people when i say i'm having a good time.

Don't forget that opening "concert", where they tried to instill in our memory the school chants.

The advising is helpful, but so far I am intimidated by the registration process.

All in all, it has been well.

Edit: PM me any questions about Emory and I would definitely reply with my best answer

i blocked the chants from my memory. i think i'm a bit scared from that. ha. other than that things have been good.

amadani.. while you're on CC...

Do you understand the "alternate" part of registration? Is it supposed to be the same subject but different time slot and/or professor?

i think that it could be in the same subject but it could also be something completly different. i dont think it really matters. like if you are trying to fulfill a GER than you could pick another one from the same or different subject so that you can continue to fulfill the GERs as early as possible.

wow.. it seems that emory really wants its students to feel welcome =)
that is really nice

LOL about the chants...I have sentimental attachment to one of them, though...it was written on the Alternative Spring Break hurricane relief trip to the Mississippi Coast I went on last spring break.
