<p>I applied to the School of Humanities and Sciences and I want to major in Biology.
My stats:
SAT: 2210
ACT: 32
GPA (w): 5.36
GAP (unw): ~3.9
Rank: 21/593
And I’ve taken a few AP classes and I’m currently enrolled in the IB program. I live in a suburb of Dallas, so that’s probably why I got it so soon.
My friend who applied too lives two streets over didn’t get anything today. Do y’all think that means she might not have gotten accepted or maybe deffered? Is it just late? I’m worried for her.</p>
<p>what about international students? No email, no UPS notification, nothing… What if it got lost in the snail mail?..</p>

<p>I applied and was accepted to UT Dallas and I’m just waiting on scholarship money now. I applied to Rice, WashU, Johns Hopkins, Duke, UNC, and Vanderbilt as well. Johns Hopkins is my first choice and WashU and Rice tie for second choices.
SMU is a very nice school as well and I’ll definitely consider it seriously when it comes time to make decisions. I don’t know if I’ll get accepted to the others, so I have to consider everything.</p>

<p>I’m afraid something might be missing from your application if you haven’t heard from either of those schools yet. I mean, I suppose it’s possible that they just haven’t decided on your file yet, but that does seem like kind of a long time, particularly for those two schools.</p>
<p>Is there an application status checker for either of them? If not, then you should email or call admissions (your admissions counselor for your area, if you can), and ask them if your application is complete. </p>

<p>Yes I sent everything in letters or rec, high school transcript, There is a application status checker and Icheck every day. And it says for both I have everything. I guess they are still deciding then. Yes I know it is so long for both of those schools many of my friends heard very early and either applied a bit later or a bit earlier than me. Thanks for the advice Simple life! I’ll just wait. If I don’t hear by the end of winter break I’ll call admissions.</p>

i actually think that all decisions were made by dec 15. the “status checker” only tells you which materials are in and processed and which aren’t. (can someone who has received a decision verify that?) you will receive your decision in a letter from admissions before the end of december, according to the smu website</p>

<p>I just wanted to say goodluck to everyone, as I posted earlier I received my admissions letter to SMU on Saturday. I live near the DFW area so that is probably why I received it so soon.</p>
