Any Fall '06 Applicants?

I do not know. It has a very strong reputation in MD though.

samonite, what do you do for fun? I've applied regular decision for fall '06 and i think St. Mary's is where I'm probably going to end up

hmm, fun..

well, on the weekends theres a fair amount of partying and drinking and such. If you're into that sort of thing there is usually at least a couple parties on friday and saturday nights. There is also a bar/club located a mile or so away from campus that has live music and dancing once a week. Sailing is always popular on the weekends since you can rent sailboats from the school's dock pretty easily. Also, we have lots of club sports teams that are fun. Personally, I play soccer. I would say that most of my spare time there is just spent hanging out in people's rooms, watching movies, that sorta thing. We're not really close to any big cities so you can't really "go out on the town" on weekends. You just have to get used to being in the middle of nowhere. I have plenty of fun though, Im rarely bored.

Stats (can't remember who asked):
3.8GPA, 1 AP sophomore year, 1 AP junior year, 4 APs senior year.
Strong ECs (music, dance), SATs: mid 600s in math and critical reasoning.
Great community service. Asian.

Did your daughter apply early decision?

no, just regular

You should get in, you might even get a small scholarship.

what towns are close to st mary's. is it thatttt isolated?

lexington park. it's isolated, but not completely. lexington park has a walmart, target, cell phone stores, lonestar, indian restaurant, bowling alley, basically all the normal things that you'd expect there to be in a suburban town. there's a naval base nearby, which is why all that stuff is there.
