Found this today. Hope that helps.

This IS very helpful. Thank you.
This will be the first thing I am gonna hang on the wall in my dorm room! Ohh, I will have it laminated, too!

No problem. I got it my Freshman year, and I’m not sure if it’s easy to find online, so I figured I’d put it up.

Good luck at Emory.

Is it really that hard to get into med school?

Just be realistic…

I guess…

3.6+ is definitely manageable at Emory (at least it is for me, and I’ll be the first to say I’m an average student compared to the others here).

I feel like MCAT scores are pretty closely correlated to the professors you pick… Don’t shy away from Weinshenk (sp?), Spell, etc. because you want the grade. Because it will definitely come back and bite you. (And both of them are terrific professors. I’ve always felt like people who don’t take them are foolish).

A lot of people overestimate themselves and only apply to the upper echelon of medical schools. And then they get screwed.

Yes, medical school is really competitive. But, if you succeed here, you’ll be put into a great position.

I’m not pre-med. I’m more interested in getting a Ph. D and teaching math/economics, but I took Bio because I love Spell. I took physics for my applied math major, so I don’t know much else about medical school, to be honest.

BTW, incoming freshmen, take AP tests. Seriously, don’t waste your time in intro classes like I did. So boring.

Oh God I still don’t believe I applied for Emory Pre-med…I mean, most of my ECs are related to math and physics, although I also do Chem&Bio at school.

And, I am an international student!!!

Good luck to everyone, anyway~!

I think you might be misunderstanding the chart. It’s for Emory graduates. So pre-meds at Emory (or future pre-meds) know what to aim for (and to be realistic).

Nothing to do with acceptance into Emory out of high school.
