I want to pursue a degree in mechnical engineering, was wondering if anyone could tell some good engineering schools in massachusetts. Always wanted to go to school in boston!

There's a certain one in Cambridge, MA.

MIT

10 char

WPI, Olin, Northeastern, Tufts, UMass-Amherst, and BU are all in the top 60 according to the list at the top of the page. And then, of course, you have MIT.

read a little about BU thinking more towards that. but would be amazing to go to MIT but im no brainiac

OP, you know that there is more in Massachusetts than just the Boston area, right?? The Boston area schools are Northeastern, BU, Tufts, MIT, Olin and, yes, let's not forget Harvard. There is also UMass-Boston, but you might not be interested in what is essentially a commuter school if you're from out of town; I think they offer engineering as well WPI is also great but 45 miles away and UMass-Amherst is close to 100 miles away, so you might want to rule those out if it's really the Boston area you want.

yeah good point there are more than just boston schools and it seems that all the schools in boston are really hard to get into

Olin and MIT are definitely the best.

Umass is decent but easy to get in.

If you are female, there is also Smith. Though it is not in Boston.

But yeah, there are tons of excellent engineering programs around here.

hummm....i'm drawing a blank on good engineering schools in Mass??? Guess there aren't any :)

Don't forget about wentworth and umass lowell!
