any type of major that i can have and be able to graduate and have a pretty decent income without going to graduate school? (80,000 ish?)
Nursing but starting salary will not likely be $80,000 to start.
My friend’s son graduated form college a year ago. He has a degree as an Athletic Trainer (sorry, I don’t know the exact phrasing of the degree) and got a job right out of college. I have no idea what he’s making, though I doubt it’s $80,000.
Then again, a LOT of educated professionals who have been in the job force for decades aren’t making that particular sum.
I think nursing would be your best bet. Biomedical engineering would make pretty good money, but not as much as other engineering types. Most health science degrees require additional schooling.
i heard nursing is very impacted and it’s hard to find a job after you graduate? i’m not sure i just heard that.
Nursing programs are impacted but finding a nursing job is not that difficult.
Some sort of specialized nursing would be the highest earning I can think of with a 4-yr degree. Bear in mind though that that $80,000 salary is going to depend a lot on location. $80,000 in New York or California is not going to take you nearly as far as $80,000 in Texas or Iowa.
