Any High School Freshman on Here?

Hooray for class of 2010!
Do you guys think I should take the SAT II in bio? I may or may not take Bio II in my senior year, but I'm in a pretty rigorous bio class now and I feel like I could do fairly well.

Dolcevalse - The world history curriculum didn't really follow what would be on the test. We mostly focused / are focusing on European history. This isn't good since the test could have an Asian theme or something along those lines.

We did study Asia / Africa through worksheets and quizzes, but no major tests or any real notes for those chapters, which is why I decided not to take the test.

Yay 2010! haha
Elanorci - I think you should take the bio SAT if you feel up for it, if you're getting decent grades and feel like you know the material then why not? I know my honors Bio class is tough and they always recommened us to take it and previous students before have always done well on it. I don't know about your school but I think you'd be fine.

Hi all! I'm 14 and I'll be a freshnman in HS next year!

yo everyone. I'm a high school freshman too. I'm taking the AP environmental science exam in about 2 weeks

How difficult is APES? Is it hard to self-study?

When I was a freshman college was the last thing on my mind

i think you guys thinking about taking SAT IIs so early is nuts!!! I plan to take the SAT IIs sophomore to junior year summer at the earliest!

^^It really depends, usually the best time to take a SAT II test is when you've just completed the course. I personally took Math IIC freshman year because I'd just completed precalc, and Math IIC only covers up to precalc. I did well. And if someone's crazy enough to take an AP science freshman year, like Bio or Chem, it's probably smart to take the corresponding SAT II that year too (since you'll never remember it as well afterwards).

Plus, if you take SAT IIs freshman year you don't have to worry about them in future years. (And they're kinda a pain in the butt)

SAT II's aren't all that hard. I had biology honors my sophomore year first semester, and took the SAT II June after my junior year. With some crazy cramming a la Princeton Review, I got a 770. Good thing I looked over the hormones once more before I got out of the car to go take it, because they were the first four questions on the test.

Si, senor.
