Any High School Freshman on Here?

Just wondering if there are any high school frosh on here, like myself. A lot of my friends think im crazy to be thinking about college already, but I think the earlier the better lol. Anyone like me on here?

Do you really give a **** about what other people think is crazy? :)

No, and I don't mean this in a bad way. Like my friends don't mean this in a bad way. They just believe that its too early to think about college, while I on the other hand don't. I was just wondering if there are any more frosh on here who think like I do about this process, and wanna chat.

Wazzapnin'?

Oui!!!!!

I'm only here to learn more about College Admissions, not to "Boost my chances".

Hey guys!
Yeah, same here milki. I'm just trying to focus on this year and doing my Bio SATs. Are either of you two taking them too?

6 - Yes, I am.

ChaosTheory, have you started studying for them? I'm like half way done with my SAT prep book, I did a ton over spring break, cuz I couldn't walk so that was all I could do lol, and now I'm taking soecial courses, in addition to my bio class, at my high school to prepare. I'm planning on taking the E version, because our high school focuses on the E version because we take Chem after Bio. How about you?

Duke, no need to hate me. I thought we settled our little personal animosity a LONG TIME ago.

asya, I'm taking the BIO SAT II too. I haven't started studying, I have AP Tests coming up. I'll probably take the M portion (I like Molecular Biology better). We take Chem after Bio too but Sophomores have suggested that Pre-IB Bio focuses more on Molecular than Ecology.

You have AP Tests as a freshman?
Our school only offers them Junior and Senior year.
I'm taking all honors though, and am recommended for taking all honors again next year.

Ya I'm taking AP Govt. I'm doing our school's Magnet IB program and our curriculum differs from others. I think most High Schools offer APs only Junior or Senior Years.

P.S. Duke, Where's my cookie ?

I'm taking the AP Biology exam, so that is my indirect preparation for SAT Biology. After looking through the test book, much of the SAT Biology test is taught in Honors Biology. I will be taking the M test.

Don't listen to your friends! All my friends think CollegeConfidential is stuck-up and/or insane, but do you see me listening to them?

I'm also a freshmen but I don't plan to take the Bio SAT II until after IB Bio II and same w/ Chem. I'm on here just to get advice from people who have more experiance than I in subjects :)

haha yeah I don't listen to them either
But my parents are really big on figuring out where I want to go, where I'll be ABLE to get into, and what i want to do
But they want to figure all this out NOW
and I'm not even sure lol
and my last term grade in Geometry probably killed my GPA :(
lol

Tell them to buzz off, after a while (maybe age 13 or so) your desires aren't really their business anymore (until you get to the point when financial aid offers come in).

Or get them on CollegeConfidential to ask for chances for a high school freshman, and then they'll be subjected to a massive onslaught of replies saying "relax, it's too early to know." Heck, they even yell at sophomores about that.

At least you need to get your SAT scores before you can figure anything out.

yea im a frosh, im not taking the sat II for bio, but im prolly gonna take latin and math IIC so not too bad

So you guys know where you wanna go to college
And where you might actually get in? lol

Yay for being frosh. I was going to take the SAT World History in June, but I didn't have time to study throughout the year..... so I changed my mind. I'm taking the Bio one in October though, because I want to study over the summer.

As for colleges, I don't even know what I want to do yet. I think it's something in the science department, but I've changed my interests several times. I am touring Yale and Princeton this summer though.... (It's always good to dream ;))

Hey, I'm a freshman too .. taking SAT II for Math Level 2, not Chem though. My Honors Chem teacher recommended to take AP Chem first then SAT II's would be so much easier.

Atawallpa920, does your school's history curriculum follow the SAT II World Hist? I was interested in taking that but a lot of things happened and I was never able to buy a book and even look at what materials it covered.
