First trimester ends this Friday. I plan on raising my English and math grade to A's. Do you think I still have a shot to get into Binghamton? I also volunteer every other weekend for 5 hours at a homeless shelter and I am in the film club at my school and playing golf.

It’s really too early to tell how you’ll stack up. You’re only a sophomore and still have 1 and 2/3 years until you apply.

The best advice I can give you is to keep raising your GPA so that the earlier grades that aren’t so good can be counteracted by better grades.

Are you taking the PSAT this year? Binghamton’s target for the SAT is at least 1250 or so an above depending on the school you’re applying to. Get above 1300 and you have a better chance. (For M and CR only, not all three).

Other than that, good luck in high school.
