<p>credits are between you and your school. If your school says you can get credit for a specific internship, then you can. If they say you can’t, then you can’t.</p>
<p>Most schools do allow you to get credit for internships, depending on what that internship is. These internships are almost always unpaid, but they can give you great experience and help you graduate. It is also common for underclassmen to get these sorts of internships, especially during the academic year. But you really do just need to check your school’s policy on internships to know how it works. I know my school only puts a note on students’ transcripts that they did an internship, but it will not give us credit.</p>
<p>My college will accept most of them if they are decent enough. So any suggestions on which ones I can apply to in NYC?</p>
<p>You will need to give us some more info if you want any meaningful advice from posters here. For example, when do you want to do this internship? What year of school are you in and what is your major? What sort of job are you looking for? What specific skills can you bring to the job? What are your interests? Are you a US citizen? (Being an international student may disqualify you from some internships.)</p>
<p>I’m in my first year of college right now and ideally I would like one for the fall when I’ll be a sophomore. Secondly, I wouldn’t mind mostly anything. My most preferred though are writing and sports and technology.</p>
<p>I’m studying writing right now at college. I can bring lots of skills to the job. I’ve programmed a little before, written a lot, done photography among other things. I’m an international student but I do have an American passport.</p>
<p>does your college have an athletic department? you could volunteer your services as an intern there. Athletic departments need people to film stuff, and to write articles and cover all of their sports.</p>
<p>No. My college does have an athletic department but they don’t need any interns. Even if they do, it won’t be for credit.</p>
