hi everyone! i was wondering if anyone knew if you can get university credit if you have an internship the summer entering your freshman year at SU?

iceskater93 Probably not, as you aren’t formally enrolled yet so there isn’t really an avenue for awarding you credit. Plus, if SU were to award you credit, you would have to pay the part time or summer school per credit rate for those hours, so that internship could turn into an expensive summer expperience. You might be better off to establish ties at your summer job/volunteer site such that you could do an official internship there later on if it seemed like a good idea.

Of course, you can always do it w/out receiving any college credit; still can look good on a resume.
