well I am waiting. I just called amherst and they are going to email me a fin aid package tommorrow. I read your posts like so many times...such nice stories of a lot of money! :P. anybody heard about aid for transfers?
(ah, and I am an international transfer student)

<p>i have a personal expenses allowance in the package, but no money for the transportation. i think i read on the website that Amherst doesnt offer help with the transportation so i have never asked for it either</p>

<p>Well...I got a 40K aid package to Middlebury...still waiting for news from Amherst (I'm still on the waitlist)</p>
<p>I'm from India...and maybe apart from China...it seems to be one of the hardest countries from which to get accepted to a competitive school. Maybe this is beacause many schools have a lot of Indian students. Oh well!</p>
