I've heard on this site that the amount ED apps are up significantly at other universities in the US. Some articles have actually listed other schools and the percent increases of submitted apps. Anyone know what the situation is at WashU? I know they don't release their ED stats, but I'm just wondering because I applied ED and I'd like to get an idea of how competitive it'll be. I thought the ED pool might be much less competitive given the current state of the economy, but apparently I was wrong.

I assume that ED apps are up at WashU as well, but I was just wondering if anyone here knows for sure.

Well, I guess all I can do is wait until around the 15th and see if I get in. I've got my fingers crossed!

i would assume washu is no different than the national trend even though i wish it would be different (to give me a better shot)
i guess we will just find out how it goes on the 15th!!!

Agreed. (10 char).

Yeah I assume it would be the same here also, but you never know. Brown's ED apps are supposedly down 6% this year. That'd be awesome if something similar were happening at WashU. Better chances for me :)

The 15th cannot get here soon enough

omg...i totally hope so.
i feel early i'm borderline, but hopefully the economy will help me a little...

Just for additional news, johns hopkins ED apps are down 1% from last year. ^ Yeah I kinda feel like I'm borderline too. My stats are pretty standard for admitted WashU students, but now I've realized that my essay definitely wasn't the greatest. Perhaps I'm being paranoid, but now I'm thinking my essay is going to drop me to roughly borderline. I really wish I could send in my revised version, but too late now.

Oh well, we can only wait! Only 2 weeks! Maybe less, considering that in the past decisions have been released around the 11th.

i know i am going to be neurotic and start checking next weekend...

^ me too probably.
