First off, from one admitted washu student to the class of 2024 and family, congrats! I’m so excited to meet and be a part of some of the brightest minds in our generation and take part in world changing activities. Now I just want it to be fall!!
Down to business:
Yesterday, 708 people were admitted, and a lot of kids I know are wondering how many people applied ED I. Anyone have any ideas on the numbers, as they probably won’t come out for some time. I’ve heard rumored ranged from 2,000-3500! If the applicant number is that much higher than ED I last year (I believe around 2,000ish correct me if I’m wrong) What does this mean for washu’s ED II and RD? What does this mean for washu’s future as a school and therefore it’s admission practices? Just some food for thought on the current ED situation and also this could be applied to any other ED school, as it sounds like (every year) it was the most selective ED round ever and we know what that means: more selective RD!!!
