^Education is far more important than longevity.. I think..

I live in a crazy house with crazy roommates. It's like a constant party. I sleep on the couch in the living room, so I just pass out with everyone around me hanging out. I get about 5 hrs of sleep per night. I sleep at lunch at school though.

ha ha, I have two different sleep schedules on heavy work nights:

If I'm feeling productive I will work until 12-2am and wake up at 6:30

If I'm feeling not so productive I will not finish all of my homework and go to sleep at 11 or 12 and wake up at 4-4:30 to do my homework.

On normal nights without a ton to work to do I'll go to sleep at 10:30-11:00 and wake up at 6:30, but due to senioritis, this kind of night doesn't come around often.

I generally don't need that much sleep to function. I'm a pretty peppy person. (alliteration, anyone?)

damn it i need to be up at 7 tomorrow. why are i still awakes?!

i stay up till 1 or 2AM sometimes
its the senioritis kicking in

You guys should really get a decent night's sleep.
a) You'll understand things faster, it's easier to focus and remember stuff, you can actually get more work done. Apparently getting six hours of sleep a night is equivalent to being drunk.
b) An all-nighter every so often is okay, but if you consistently get like three hours of sleep a night then you'll become like me and unable to fall asleep unless you're exhausted from staying up all night. Which does really weird things to your sleep cycle.
c) And you'll get really depressed.

fizix2 hit it exactly. ugh i'm tired :(

You guys have some pretty messed up sleeping habits.

11:30 - 6:30 on an average night.

Well my concentration has declined and it can be harder to remember, but I make the sacrifices for a reason and my GPA has stayed pretty consistent.
And senioritis really sucks.
And a lack of sleep is really bad if you're fighting off sickness. I still have a cough from a cold I had full-blown a week ago. I don't recommend it for most people.
I try and sleep well on weekends. Even when I get to sleep on time it takes forever to fall asleep. It's a sleep problem I share with my father. He's just learned to live with it and is fairly successful.
So part of my lack of sleep is choice and the other is physiological.

I usually stay up untill 2-4 am, then sleep untill 6, do homework for 1-1.5 hours, then go to school at 8. I usually take a 45 minute nap after school to help me feel rested.

I sleep from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. I have a regular sleeping pattern, thank goodness. :) I also have plenty of time for having fun and studying (I'm one of the most intense studiers in my school, but it's only necessary for history, really). But my high school is much more laid-back than most of yours, I'm sure!

Out of my entire class load, AP Art Studio is the one causing the most late nights. I usually get to bed by 1:30 though and wake up at like 7. I like staying up, though.

wow...the sleeping schedules of the OP's friends are quite bizarre...IMO if you have to do that it's too big of a sacrifice for good grades and lots of APs :/

i usually sleep around 11 or 12. usually 12

I still think my friend's habit is the weirdest...he just sleeps from 8-12 and then works all the way up until school starts.

zenythz, I agree. That's just scary.

^I used to do that. I work better when I've just woken up.

i usually sleep from 10:30-7:20 :p

3:00 am to 7:00 am, do homework for an hour, and then head to school
If I get any more than 6 hours of sleep, I start feeling extremely lethargic.
