Any of you gonna return to India?

No thats because he was he was going on and on about America not going through deep ****.

To top it off, America doesnt export anything, hence their dented economy. Usually, to help their economy, countries devalue their currency against a major currency (usually usd) in order to increase exports.
America doesnt export and it obviously cant devalue their currency against anything. So yeah, thats why great depression.

Thanks for agreeing with me, tippu! :-D

Guys im sorry for the double post, my mobile phone is kinda wonky

Check your sources.

blinks You guys are seriously trying to explain the reasoning behind coming back to India on the basis of ECONOMY? :stuck_out_tongue:
The only really valid reasons I see are mostly of psychological origin.

And to whoever said a true patriot would never leave hs country in the first place, go read up on the lives of people like Gandhi whom you use as benchmarks of patriotism <_<

finally, ROFL@fednad

aniruddh:
[America’s Top Imports & Exports 2008: U.S. Shows Trade Advantages in Civilian Aircraft and Semiconductors](<a href=“Suite 101 - How-tos, Inspiration and Other Ideas to Try”>Suite 101 - How-tos, Inspiration and Other Ideas to Try)

That’s the 2008 one. I’ll upload the 2009 one when I find a consolidated list.

I don’t feel like obliging any of you anymore. So much for philanthropy. I mean, “America doesn’t export much” just made me LMAO. I’d love to see what you would do when you would get ‘back’ to India. If you really want to help India, then stay away from it.

Well I was comparing the amount of exports to China.

Lets see what you can do. Keep me posted! :)

hmm not fighting or anything, but if you look at only debt its a pretty bad indicator of the economic state or growth… the dollar and euro are getting stronger now and things will pretty much improve over the next few years

Once again, please stick to the topic. In almost every forum where Indians are evident, you guys break off from whatever the thread topic is and argue amongst each other. No wonder why we’ve been prone to divide and conquer for so long. Shut up and stick to the topic.

FYI- Look up Indian economic information. India, being a developing country with cheap labor has a HORRIBLE trade inbalance, importing more than exporting.

Again, India owes around 30% of its GDP in debt, their debt problems are just as worse as America considering they’re still developing.

So why don’t you shut up, forgot about American economic distress, and perhaps sit around and think about manufacturing in India or boycotting foreign clothes/goods? No, you idiots want to argue if the US is in trouble or not. At least they have an ocean seperating them from China, which undoubtly has evil intentions on India.

^ lol, “Practice What You Preach” is the phrase that comes to my mind.

Hahaha awesome, honorlions :P

Why don’t you shut up and stick to the topic? Or just shut up?

Oh dear. =/

Alright nvm. You guys are pointless.

=End of thread=

^ Your tone is very condescending. Also please check your facts when talking about debt.

You can’t really compare an 18% debt vs a 98% [% of GDP]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_external_debt

Boycott foreign goods!!! That was for 19th century, dude you’ll end up striking rocks for fire, seriously we need more fdi for india and expansion of secondary sector, and as for coming back to india for that matter depends on what i want to do for example if i want to be a particle physicist i will most likely go to CERN in europe because i wont have the proper facilities in india and coming back here only thing i will be able to do is watch ekta kapoor’s version of twilight on some ****ty crt tv which needs to be banged twice before starting(now that i’ve boycotted foreign goods).

^ Well said. Thats what I meant to say, I’m just not that articulate.

Or you could not make your enemies in China richer by utilizing your own armies of millions of poor people and start manufacturing Sony Televisions or w/e in India and buy those only. Labor costs are fastly rising in China anyway. It’s kind of sad that things like bangles and saris are made in China.
And how about utilizing India’s large population of scientists to set up such scientific facilities in India? I’m sure dear Abdul Kalam would certainly agree with me on this!

Wow… now I’M going with this sidetrack thing…

ummmm i would like to say that as an indian that moved to the US at the age of 3, I plan on NOT returning. For me the reason is simple and it has nothing to do with trade imbalance or watever…i just feel like i dont fit in. every1s always treating me differently and i dont mean that in a good way.

That’s understandable since you moved at like 3. And yeah the whole trade balance thing was kind of off topic anyway.
Treating you differently? I usually enjoy the special attention lol
