any of your professors ever play video games?

or have mentioned video game references in there lectures, or maybe they have played a game with you before?

One of my math professors is an avid follower of competitive Starcraft. He even encouraged me to write my term paper on an MMO.

Not video games, but we’ve had professors play in Humans vs. Zombies with the students.

Oh yes, I have had several. It was… epic win…

one of my cs professors is into old arcade games. his office has a bunch of them, some of which he restored for fun.

My prof was a level 38 orc shaman, he’d try to heal SM cath but get zerged by mobs, we booted him from the group and he failed me :(

I had a gender studies professor who played 3D SexVilla all the time. She gave a demonstration in class about how brainwashed women could use virtual sex simulators to empower themselves by acting out anti-patriarchal fantasies. There was one class session where a girl was allowed to use the simulator, which was being projected on the board, as a barometer of her embodied oppression. For example, some chauvinistic ******* said that modern society’s unchecked consumerism is largely responsible for the deteriorating relations between men and women, so the virtual female started pegging her male counterpart. Just like the rest of feminism, though, this backfired and all the dudes got boners.

I honestly have no idea. But i really doubt any of them do.
I am guessing no because they have PhD so they probably didn’t learn how to waste their time.

Part of earning a PhD is learning how to waste your time extra effectively.

Professors are people too. They have lives and hobbies outside of academia. One of my cs professors plays starcraft.
