its hell, its not a college expeirence at all.

1) In the case of a somewhat nerdy student that is looking for a serious environment to learn and be surrounded by intellectuals, Case is an excellent school. In the case of someone looking for an easy school that has good parties, Case would be torture. Overall, Case does a good job of taking care of the students that go there. The food is provided by BonAppetit...there are no steam tables...in my opinion, the food is leagues better than the food at other schools that I visited. Dorms are liveable, and the school just built new apartments that are incredible. I was happy with the quality of life, but it is especially true at Case that college is what you make of it.
2) In engineering, especially Biomedical Engineering, Case is a good deal. I'm not as sure about the liberal arts majors, but those that I know are happy with their decision to attend Case.
3) Case is very helpful with finding internships and jobs, and seems to have a very good reputation with many top employers. The career fair is very well attended by both students and employers, and the career center makes a great effort to stay in touch with students interested in receiving help in finding an internship or job.
4) The Vice Presidential debate on campus last year really highlighted the political diversity of the campus. I would say there are slightly more liberals (although that could just be the more outspoken nature of young liberals), but overall I found it to be a highly tolerant community. There were many good-natured impromptu debates, and I feel that overall the debate was a great way for Case to show the political side that typically hides in engineering students.
5) Most of my freshman classes were somewhat large, usually around 80. The largest class I had was about 240, and that's the biggest that I expect to have. Recitations for the larger classes were very helpful and not a waste of time to attend. The smallest class I had last year was 5 students (a humanities class). In my major, I expect that most classes next year and beyond will be in the 10-20 student range. All of the professors I met this year were excellent. They were always willing to provide extra help outside of the classroom (at least if you attended class regularly :))
6) Case has decent financial aid packages, and they are quite generous with them. They do like to hand them out most to students that truly excell in one area or another (less so to the BWRKs). I don't know about the current situation, as this coming year's freshman class is so much larger than expected, but almost all students there have some form of university financial aid. If you qualify for work-study, Case has plenty of jobs available, and I haven't heard of anyone that wanted a job that couldn't find one (even those not on work study).
7) Case has undergone some drastic changes in the past few years. Many still have bad tastes in their mouths for it, but I would recommend visiting and seeing for yourself if the school sounds good to you. Everything that I heard made it sound like a terrible place, but I absolutely loved my visit, and I couldn't have been happier with my freshman year...can't wait to go back for more.

Thanks for all the info and the response !!

Not that this will be helpful at all, but at the Head of the Charles (it's a huge rowing race), their boat crashed into ours, and then proceeded at yelling at us for being in the way. When they're the ones who hit us. So really it was their fault. But then again, this is only a max of 5 people at the entire school who might share that opinion, but hey, it's something.
