rottedtofu, some schools (like mine) also send first quarter grades automatically to ED schools...it depends on the school, you could ask your guidance department if you want to know about your school in particular. I think you may also need a midyear report (or is it only final?) if you are accepted ED (or deferred).

hmm, I'm not sure, but I think you need both the midyear and final grade report even if you are accepted ED so they know you haven't come down with senioritis.

Okay, Thanks!

:D

I just joined the facebook page :)

Who else is on it?

Me!
I'm Aviva...what's your name?

I got a letter from Barnard financial aid today and kept flashing forward to two weeks from Monday, imagining what it would be like to get an rejection/acceptance letter. It's only two weeks away, ladies!

I get more nervous every day.

I'm Erica!

haha nice to meet you!

I received a financial aid letter as well...apparently my father left something out?

I don't think so. I think they sent them to everyone (I'm not applying for FA and mine was just confirming that I didn't want to apply for FA and explaining what I should do if I had changed my mind).

You're probably fine...

same, fhg. When my mom handed it to me I thought, "Oh so THIS is what the small letter looks like..."

but hey, here's the good news - at least we know that we'll get letters on the same day. is that good news? ah I don't know anymore.

True!:p Mine is postmarked 11/25, if that means anything (because of the holiday that probably means absolutely nothing).

And same here, I immediately though, "I hope I don't get a letter like this in a couple of weeks." I so badly want that big envelope!

Did anyone get theirs via Email?
I live abroad...and I'm not applying for FA but I got it by email.
Any indication that I might get my rejection/acceptance via email?

I think they do send decisions to internationals by email (at least they did last year).

Edit: weird, our posts switched order.

I wonder if we'll get decisions early because 12/15 is a Monday. Probably not, we'll probably get them late...

My guess would be that they'll mail them Friday.

International students are notified by e-mail. At least they have been for the past 3 years...

Yeah, I just received it confirming that I don't wish to be considered for financial aid.

When my dad got it, he said "Oh, it's probably your acceptance or rejection letter"

Ha, no!

Who is sending their first quarter grades?

I can't decided if I should or not..

help me decide?

Its a 4.5 weighted, 3.8 unweighted

I can't tell if it'd hurt or help me.

@ rottedtofu -
I sent my grades in without knowing that we didn't have to. If it holds any sway, mine are very comparable to yours: A's in AP Lit, AP Lang, and French, B+ in AP Calc, B in AP Bio. I think that if they are similar to the grades that you received junior year, it really couldn't hurt. But, at the same time, there probably wouldn't be any effect if you didn't send them.

P.S. Just joined the group! I'm Kate.
