applied ED here too :)

My daughter is graduating this year. It's bittersweet to watch all you young women apply to Barnard. She's going to miss it very much, and so am I!

Barnard said they haven't received my ED signature yet, but I mailed it out on friday, the 14th...What should I do??

Does the website say they haven't received it, or did you talk to an actual person? If the website says it, it may take them awhile to update and they could well have it. If a person told you that, maybe wait a few days, check again, and then send another copy...

Razaz, it said the same for me when I logged in.
I am not 100% certain, but I believe that it just means they haven't received it YET or are in the process of updating it. Just keep checking! :)

The website says they have not received it. So I'll wait it out a few more days. I just want them to understand that it's ED!

When did you guys send in your apps and subsequently get your accounts?

I sent mine in on Friday and I got my account today.

I sent mine in on Wednesday and I got my account today.
My ED agreement hasn't gotten there yet either, but I sent it on Thursday the 13th. They've probably got a ton of mail to sift through. I'm not worrying about it yet...

Okay, good, I feel better now.

Aaagh! I sent all my stuff on Friday and I am yet to get an email!

Just think about the amount of mail they must have (they also have RD stuff to contend with). It takes them time to sort through everything and update the site.

Okay, now I'm freaking myself out. I called today to check on my second teacher rec and my supplemental rec (both were sent a week or so ago) and the admissions person said they have neither in my file. Do you guys think I should wait and call again early next week? Should I have my teachers send them again? What do you think? I don't want them to evaluate an incomplete application.

Does your recommenders say they have sent them in? Find out when they did so (if they have) and then give it a bit more time.

My recommenders both sent them in around last Thursday, they both told me that day that they had sent them. Maybe I should wait and call back next week to check in.

Yeah, give them a bit more time. If they were just mailed last Thursday it seems reasonable to me that they would not even have arrived until Monday and then they need a few days to sort through all the pieces of mail they are getting now.

And please excuse my atrocious grammar in my post above. I started out with a singular subject then added one and forgot to change the "Does" to "Do". I hate that!

Okay, so I read this thread and then started to freak out because I didn't think that we had to send in quarter grades for ED, but...

I called the admissions office today and the lady I spoke to (I think her name is Michelle) said that they're optional! I am really happy because at the end of the quarter marking period, my honors physics grade wasn't exactly... "ideal."

So if you haven't already and don't want to, you don't have to send in your quarter grades! She did say, though, that if they want to see them for your particular case, admissions will contact you.

My post contradicts what some people have said on this thread which is kind of confusing, but this is just what I was told today.

Hope this helps anyone!

My file is now complete (last teacher rec got there yesterday)! That's a big weight off my shoulders. Now we just wait...

Hello fellow ED girls!
Ha I've been reading this, but just joined today.

It took til today for my Supplement to show up as having been received!
I was freaking outtt!
I called them to ask if it had been received, since the Common App was freaking out, and said that I had submitted it, but it didn't have the little green triangle next to it.

Sighh.
SO nervous!

So what is the midyear grade report business?

the midyear grade report is something that tells Barnard about your first semester grades, which obviously have not finished yet. That's more for regular decision applicants. At my school, you have to request that your first quarter grades be sent in. I liked mine, so I did, but Barnard doesn't require them.
