Any other schools I should consider?

I am really looking for a liberal school that has a small to medium sized campus, a unique student body, and an artsy vibe. Some schools already on my radar are…

Brown - ED
Yale
Tufts
Vassar
Wesleyan
Amherst College

Do any of these schools not fit my description/are there any other schools you’d recommend me looking into?

Also, my intended Majors are Neuroscience and Music, so reputable programs for each of those are also a must!

You need to consider some safety and match schools. Skidmore?
What can your parents pay? We need a LOT more information.

Oberlin

I will assume that you are looking for schools that you can get accepted to, and that you can afford. If this is correct, then it might be useful to post something about your GPA, test scores, and whether there are any financial limits (such as does a total cost of $280,000 for four years seem like a lot)?

Do you have a preference for geographic area?

Also, you are going to need safety schools. None of the schools on your list look like a safety school for anyone.

What are your stats? Any financial constraints?

If your grades and scores make you a competitive applicant for Brown and all the others you listed, then Skidmore is a good safety school. I notice that they’re all in the northeast; assuming this means you don’t want to go south or west, I won’t mention the artsier LACs elsewhere.

You might like Bard or Connecticut College.

Oberlin, Kenyon, Skidmore.

Amherst may not suit your description.

I wrote NYU but realize it has no campus.

Music and neuroscience will be a tough combination if you want to double major, and that goes double for combining a conservatory program with an arts & science major – be wary of schools like Oberlin, where this often takes 5 years. You might want to focus especially on schools that offer music in their colleges of arts & sciences.

Lawrence is strong in the sciences and allows A&S students to minor in music through the conservatory.

One does not necessarily need to go the conservatory route to study and engage in music at Oberlin:
