yea ditto. During senior year, I feel more tired, and lazy (symptoms of senioritis duhh lol) and i take random school days off (lol pretending to be sick at times). Sometimes I have the feeling that senior year is pretty pointless. I took like 3 AP classes and two of them I regret taking. watevs. I got like 50-60 school days left which is not that bad; don't have that many frees just study halls which are kind of annoying

my parents wont let me stay home from school. but i have been really lazy and tired because there really is no point to school anymore. i just want it to end and enjoy life until the start of college

i spend practically all of my time being nostalgic for college. I just went on a college trip and missed 4 days, and now I don't care about anything involving school. Homework...clubs...stuff I used to care about, i feel nothing for; they are all just burdens, another drag on my list of things to do. I just want to eat, sleep, shop, hang out with friends, work, and nothing else.

At the college, my student host did mention that "high school is just like college." But then again, she spent her thursday night doing homework and watching a lame movie. Then she told me to go to bed at 11pm. Ha... all I can say is, that is not what my college experience is going to be like.

Canucker, I'm getting ready for IB exams, too, so I can't afford to miss school. :( Ugh, I have an IB exam for Japanese, Psychology, History, English, and Art.

Right now I feel like I'm just paddling at the surface, struggling not to sink to the bottom.

at my school you can miss as many days as you want as long as you make it up in after school detention

(4 hours per day) once you go over the allowed limit, which is like 10 days a semester or something

Oh God... if college is just like high school..... I can't even imagine what I would do....

And my school is pretty easy on abscenses. You allowed to miss 7 per semester (or quarter I can't really remember) and if you miss more than that, you have to have a doctor's note... but the funny thing is, if you don't have a doctor's note, all they do is disallow you from going on any field trips that semester, though we hardly have field trips.

I want to not go over that though because we are having a senior trip to six flags at the end of the year (St. Louis... ugh...) anyone else doing a senior class trip?

pssh, our school never has any field trips. But yeah, senior year now and I've just stopped caring about what others think of me and I stopped caring about the high school social life. I used to be really concerned about all this stuff in previous years.
2nd semester of senior year doesn't really matter for us. colleges send out their acceptances in march/april, scholarships look at your 1st semester grades, etc. as long as you don't totally bomb 2nd semester, you'll be all right.
