I’ll be taking Math II and Physics for Duke, Cornell, and Princeton. I’m going for two 800’s.

I think I might take the Physics test. Which schools don’t accept January Subject Tests?

Stanford doesn’t (not an Ivy, but still up there). Cornell’s rules are iffy. A lot of ppl sent their Jan scores and said it was fine, but on the website, Cornell says all testing should be done by December. Anyway, I’m sending my Jan scores to Cornell along with other scores, because Cornell requires ALL scores!.

I’m retaking Math II, got 670 the first time. Taking Biology E/M the first time for funsies haha. So just making sure, as long as I rush my score reports, I can get the scores to RD colleges right? Otherwise this is a waste of time…

I might be re-taking physics; it all depends on what I see at 5 a.m. tomorrow. :P

@wofbharatj, what I’m doing is sending out my score reports tomorrow (after seeing my December subject test score), but since I’ve already registered for testing in January, the Jan scores are automatically selected (4 free score reports). This means that my “normal” scores will be sent tomorrow, and I guess my January scores will be sent as soon as they are available to the students.

Ok thanks! I’m gonna call the admissions offices just to double check. If at least 2/4 of the colleges say they’ll accept it if rushed, then I’ll take them. Otherwise, I don’t want to bother improving and taking another one for 1 college. Waste of money and effort.

Most schools get reports electronically, not by “snail mail”, so no worries! I’m prob sending mine in tomorrow.

Don’t rush scores-schools do not like this.

Check the websites of the schools that you’re applying to, to see if they accept January scores. If they do, then do what I did! Register for January and use your 4 free score reports and send out scores today/tomorrow (if you’ve taken a test in December). If they don’t, then do not bother registering for anything and just send your scores right now. There’s no need to rush.

When you use the 4 free score reports, do they send out the scores already available immediately, and then send the January scores separately once they are available?

Or will all the scores be sent only after the January scores are available?
In other words, will I need to pay for score reports for schools with deadlines that don’t accept the January administration? What are you guys doing?

Also, are there any schools that require they be sent by mail? I used electronic submission.

I just called CB. It turns out that if you use the 4 free reports, ALL scores will be sent out early February! this is so dumb!!! She said you have to pay for scores to be sent right now so I guess I will send my scores twice…

^Ughhh…that really sucks. Thanks for finding out.

Do you know of any colleges that require score reports sent by mail instead of electronic submission?

I know! It sucks a LOT. CB should have better service and send out scores that are already available ASAP while sending Jan scores after they come out in Jan. This is so… ugh.

Anyway, I just sent out my scores from this year. I will use the 4 free scores reports ONLY for the January subject test score. I’ll send these Jan scores come January haha

I don’t know any that get reports by mail now, but there is a way of finding out. If you go on CB, and start sending your scores, eventually there’ll be a page where there is a chart with schools you’re sending the scores to and a column that will indicate whether schools receive them by MAIL or ELECTRONICALLY. So, basically, to find out, just e-mail the school or start sending your scores-BUT you don’t have to finish sending them. Just start so you can check whether a school gets scores electronically or by snail mail.

I will Retake SAT.2 Biology E/M is very very very bad score (470) what can i do :(

Are you a high school senior? If so, then you don’t have a lot of time to improve, but I would recommend getting Princeton Review’s bio prep book. I used that and got 720 (E), though it’s not a good score for Ivies. Take bio again in January, but you must register now.

will they consider my jan scores if I have already sent them others from previous takings? having second thoughts, and not comfortable about what I sent in.

Guys, all the schools I talked to (including Cornell and MIT) allow you/your guidance counselor to email them with unofficial scores to help them in the meantime.

Hellz yeah, SAT IIs late for the win. Math II and Lit reporting in; have you guys started studying yet?
