Any other Sophomores struggling with SAT prep??

Just figured I would open a thread for HS students like me who are constantly considering college and their future although it's a bit early! I am a sophomore and took the PSAT a few months ago. As someone who usually tests well on big exams like the comprehensive state test when there's an unlimited time frame, the PSATs sucked! I didn't finish most sections... here are my scores:

Math 56 (says projected SAT score is 520-620)
Reading 54 (projected "500-600")
Writing 58 (projected "530-650")

I definitely need to up my game. Hope to go to USC. Any advice or stories of your own?

Went from 179 sophomore year to 219 junior year (although I would’ve gotten 226 if I didn’t misread a math question and forget to answer a writing question, BOTH of which I knew the correct answers to). Then I got a 2160 on SAT and I just took it again yesterday. It can be done, just get some prep books and practice a lot. There’s a bunch of other stuff you could do, but that’s the most effective way.
