Im an incoming freshman, gonna be living in a plaza next year even though I really wanted a res hall...anyways, do people throw raging parties in the plazas or no? it it social at all? how can i make it more social? for example, keeping my door open all the time? should i just join a sorority if i wanna party?

If you want a raging party you’re better off going to an apartment party (off-campus) or a frat party. You probably won’t hear about too many parties in the dorms b/c of noise/alcohol/guest rules… RAs come pretty quickly when there’s reports of parties and such…

However, plazas can be very social. In the two years that I lived in De Neve (Acacia,) the people on my floors were really social and were always out and about hanging out in the hallways/lounges. I’d definitely suggest keeping your door open and even wandering the hall. You’re bound to find others that want to hang out and have fun.

Contrary to popular belief, if you just want to party, you don’t have to join a sorority. Assuming you’re a girl, you’ll have no problems getting into frat parties (since they really only let girls in… )

^rules have CHANGED. if you look hideous…the guys are thinking twice now. if they are sober, they’ll say something like party’s full…if they are drunk, they will say wuts on their mind and tell you that you look like **** and GET the F out…LMAOOOOO

^ ROTFL. Well, honestly, I only went to one frat party in my four years at UCLA and it was kinda lame so, I never went back. It’s just wasn’t my thing.

In any case, that’s really funny and yet really sad at the same time. Maybe I should retrack my previous sorority statement? Hahah…

I’m not trying to be a smart alec, but I think you meant “retract”, ckings86

Meh. I never claimed to be an english major… Hahah.
