Any point in taking APUSH if interested in going into science?

I’m going to be a junior next year, taking AP Lang and AP Chem, as well as all honors/advanced courses. I’ve already signed up for APUSH as well but after receiving summer work, I’m not so sure it makes sense for me to take the course, especially because I’m very interested in going into science. While I am interested in taking the course and history in general, my main priority and concern is maintaining a 4.2 unweighted gpa, and I’m not sure I’d be able to manage to do that by taking apush. If I don’t take APush, however, I will likely take AP bio. Anyways, I would appreciate any insights into the course and some advice on where I should go from here.

Take APUSH. Top colleges are looking to see that you have taken the most rigorous courseload available to you. Obviously, you are not afraid of the increased rigor, since you would take AP Bio if you did not take APUSH.

While you are interested in going into science, most college want you to have a well-rounded courseload in HS. They do not expect, and in some cases don’t want, applicants to be specialists in HS.
